New E.L.F. Essentials lipsticks in Nostalgic, Flirtatious, Sociable, and Fearless Review and Swatches!

Recently Elf came out with 6 new shades for spring/summer. The lipsticks are from their one dollar line and the colors are gorgeous. I picked up four of them.

 As you can see the labels/lettering has already rubbed off on two of the lipsticks.

Nostalgic: Is nude pinky color. I found this color hard to apply. It seemed to emphasize every line and crack on my lips and i have pretty smooth, moisturized lips. The only way this lipstick looks good is applying it with lip gloss on top. If you don't your lips have this weird shine to them that's very unflattering but with lip gloss it actually makes a good nude lipstick. This lipstick was ok.

Flirtatious: Is a very pretty bright baby pink. This applied on my lips better than nostalgic but I feel that the formulation is bit too creamy. It slides on like butter and it doesn't last very long on the lips. Again topped of with a gloss and it looks very pretty.

Sociable: Is a raspberry pink color. This is one of my favorites and also one of the biggest disappointments. The color is so gorgeous and definitely hard to find, especially for a dollar. The downfall of this lipstick is the formula, it has glitter in it. YES actual glitter chunks in the lipstick, and you can feel them after you apply it. And no matter how much i loved this color i couldn't get over the uncomfortable feeling of the glitter. The saddest thing is that is lasts the longest than the other ones. But what's the point if you can't wear for more than five minutes because if feels weird on your lips. If they only took out the glitter it would be perfect.

Fearless: Is a cherry red. The formulation is good but it might be a bit too creamy like flirtatious. I would suggest using a lip liner with it. Which isn't much a problem because most people use lip liner anyways when it comes to red lipstick. All in all this is probably the better lipstick out of all them. It's very pigmented and the formulation is probably the best.
